BREAKING NEWS!
The Collaborative Divorce Team executive board has voted on and approved a change to the bylaws which affects all members. We did not want to do it, but we simply must. Effective immediately, members will be required to pay an annual fee of $100.00. This annual fee will offset administrative costs and the cost of providing lunch at the meetings. The first annual fee is due by August 31, 2009, and then by July 1, beginning in calendar year 2010. Members are advised to promptly pay their fee, otherwise members will be placed on an inactive status and will be removed from materials and the website. For members who lapse, there will be a $50.00 reinstatement fee. But do not despair, for new members, your initiation fee includes the first year of dues.
The Collaborative Divorce Team has created a proposed Local Administrative Rule (Administrative Order) which has been submitted to the chief judge (and incoming chief judge) for review and implementation. You may review it :HERE and you may post your comments on the blog at HERE.
The August 2009 meeting will also include elections of board members for the coming year. Incumbents will be slated, unless that member notifies the secretary (Pam Wynn) that he or she no longer wishes to seek re-election. Anyone interested in running for a seat should send an email or fax to Pam Wynn indicating the board position sought.
Next meeting: AUGUST 13, 2009 at 12:00 noon.
Meeting location: generally at Ameriprise Offices 11300 U.S. Hwy One, Suite 600, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33408 or at offices of Charles Jamieson, 1615 Forum Pl Ste 500, West Palm Beach, FL 33401. For current meeting locations, check the minutes or feel free to call any board member for details.
Meetings generally cover topics such as dissemination of information, public awareness,
development of training and seminars, increasing membership and other topics as needed.
Meetings are designed for members and prospective members of Collaborative Divorce
Team.
This is not the time or place to meet with a prospective attorney about your case. Since our time
is limited, we all to respect this policy.
If you have not RSVP'd please do so by calling the office of Charlie Jamieson. If you have paid your annual dues, $100.00 each year by July 1 (August 30 for the current year), then your lunch is provided. Otherwise, please plan on contributing $15 as non-member dues for the lunch meeting.
